DIAPHRAGM WALLS

   Minimize
Diaphragm walls are underground structure elements primarily used as permanent foundation walls and also as support walls and aquifer cut-off walls, with or without the presence of adjacent buildings. The wall is constructed in units excavated using tools such as (hydraulic or mechanical) grabs or a shearer.

TYPES OF MEASUREMENT

The instrumentation on the site simply, reliably and accurately measures and records :

  • Depth.
  • Deviation from the vertical plane, parallel to the wall axis.
  • Deviation from the vertical plane, perpendicular to the wall axis.
  • Deviation caused by the grab rotating round its cable.

THE INSTRUMENTS

The TARALOG and the DIALOG are diaphragm wall measuring and recording instruments. Housed in sturdy rustproof metal casings, they are sealed against runoff water.

THE SENSORS

Specific sensors are used to record the different parameters : depth is recorded by the P80 and deviation data by the NEMOK (TARALOG) or the PRAD (DIALOG).

THE SOFTWARE

The EXTRB and DXTRB software are used for data application purposes; it generates and provides a simple display of the various parameters..
