DRAIN

   Minimize
Vertical drains are used to improve water saturated ground and will considerably increase its rate of consolidation. Flat or cylindrical flexible plastic drains can reach depths of over 35 metres. Depending on the nature and composition of the ground to be treated, sand or granular material drains can also be used.

TYPES OF MEASUREMENT

The instrumentation on the site simply, reliably and accurately measures and records :

  • Depth.
  • The pressure applied to the tool while the drains are being installed.

THE INSTRUMENTS

The DIALOG, the LT3(or the CL88) and the LUTIN are instruments used to measure and record vertical drain parameters. Housed in sturdy rustproof metal housings, they are sealed against runoff water. Data are recorded and can be transferred directly via the MEMOBLOC memory cards or a USB flash drive.

THE SENSORS

Specific sensors are used to record the different parameters : the P80 records depth and the C16400 records hydraulic pressure data.

THE SOFTWARE

The EXDRA software is used for data application purposes; it generates and provides a simple display of the various parameters.
