DRILLING PARAMETERS

Drilling parameter recording (or instant logging) consists in measuring and recording one or more physical magnitudes depending on depth and during the drilling operation. Variations depend on the ground encountered: penetration rate, torque, water pressure etc.
These lithological parameters are supplemented by parameters that describe the drilling operation: thrust, rod rotation speed etc...


TYPES OF MEASUREMENT

The instrumentation on the job site simply, reliably and accurately controls, measures and records :

  • Depth.
  • Drilling rate.
  • Rotation.
  • Torque.
  • Thrust pressure.
  • Retaining pressure.
  • Injection fluid flow rate and pressure.
  • X and Y inclination.
  • Reflected vibration.

 


THE INSTRUMENTS

The LUTIN, the LT3 (or the CL88), the BAP160 (or the LUBAP) and the DIALOG are all instruments used to record drilling parameters. All these instruments are constructed using particularly sturdy materials and protected by rustproof metal housings.
 


THE SENSORS

Specific sensors are used to record the different parameters: the F82 and the D907 for depth, the VR28N for rotation speed, the C16400 and the C1650 for thrust, injection and retention pressures, and for the torque, the IA1620 for inclination V16AF50 for vibration, the AT50 or the EDHxx for air or injection fluid flow rate and pressure.


THE SOFTWARE

EXEPF, EXGTE or DXDEV software is used for data application. They are used for easy generating, viewing and formatting of the various parameters recorded..
