SOIL INVESTIGATION

   Minimize
Before constructing any civil engineering structure and foundations, a survey of the soil's physical and geological properties must be carried out. This is the purpose of geotechnics which, through various in situ or laboratory processes, are used to examine soil mechanics. This investigation will then influence the design of the structure and the choice of foundation processes applied.

TYPES OF MEASUREMENT

The instrumentation on the pilot site simply, reliably and accurately controls, measures and records :

  • Drilling parameters..
  • Pressuremetric tests.
  • Penetrometric surveys (CPT / SPT).
  • Lugeon type permeability tests.

THE INSTRUMENTS

In addition to instruments used for drilling parameters, pressure measurement tests are controlled and performed by the PREVO and recorded by the BAP160 or the LUBAP.

THE SENSORS

The various parameters used for ground surveys are recorded by the same sensors as those used for drilling parameters.

THE SOFTWARE

The EXGTE software is used for the application of ground survey data, editing the survey section, with drilling parameters based on depth, lithology and even imported site data.
The EXPRS software is used to analyse pressure measurement data and offers various calculations such as the module (Em) limit pressure and creep pressure.
