PREVO 100

The PREVO 100 is a Volume Pressure Controller (CPV) for the measurement of the geo-mechanical characteristics of soils according to the principle of the expansion of a cylindrical cavity.

Powered by a nitrogen cylinder and the driller's battery, the servo valves of the PREVO 100 automatically regulate the pressure levels of the test and the injection of the volume of water into the probe: the applied stress (on the areas or between the areas) is perfectly controlled by the regulation of the PREVO 100 operating in closed loop. Maintaining the stress is perfectly controlled, regardless of the reaction of the soil under stress. The stressing procedure (bearing, duration) is automatically controlled by the ADN + BASALT (or the BAP 160) connected to the PREVO 100 according to the instructions entered by the operator (for example according to standard NF P 94-110 / EN ISO 22476-4).

Technical characteristics

• Operating voltage: 12 - 36 V DC or 24 V AC
• Weight: 25 kg
• Operating temperature: -20 ° C / 60 ° C
• Waterproof: IP65
• Black and white monochrome display with excellent sun readability
• Data Recovery: Via ADN + BASALT or BAP 160
• Maximum pressure: 100 bar
• Max volume: 820 mL

Vertical drains

When a project is planned on water saturated soil, it is necessary to evacuate the interstitial water to the surface to accelerate the consolidation of these soils.

Drilling

Drilling parameters recording (or instant logging) consists in measuring and recording one or more physical magnitudes depending on depth and during the drilling operation. Variations depend on the ground encountered: rate at penetration, torque, water pressure etc.

Auger cast piles

The principle consists in screwing a hollow shaft auger into the ground to a depth at least equal to the length of the pile to be used; the auger is then extracted from the ground without being unscrewed while, at the same time, concrete is injected through the auger's hollow shaft.

Injection

Consolidation, sealing and backfilling injection... slurry is injected into the ground according to precise technical specifications.

Vibrodriving

The use of vibration to drive vertical elements into the ground (sections, tubes, sheet piles) has become widely deployed in public works. Vibratory pile driving of a rigid element into the ground requires a vibrator and a guidance system.

Jet grouting

Jet grouting is a foundation process that consists in injecting cement slurry at very high pressures into the ground through nozzles that create a jet effect. The jet effect is used to break up the ground and to mix the injected slurry with the soil in situ.

Driven piles

A hammered pile is installed by hammering a prefabricated element (concrete or steel) down to a preset depth or to set. The pile is driven in through repeated hammering by a pile driving hammer (metal mass).

Vibrocompaction

Using vibrators to compact the ground is known as Vibrofloatation or Vibrocompacting. This is a technique used for stabilising granular soils such as loose sand, gravel and backfill material. The method consists in using vibration to create a suspension with the particles so that they can be rearranged to form more dense material.

Diaphragm wall

Diaphragm walls are underground structure elements primarily used as permanent foundation walls and also as support walls and aquifer cut-off walls, with or without the presence of adjacent buildings. The wall is constructed in units excavated using tools such as (hydraulic or mechanical) grabs or a shearer.

Soil mixing

SoilMixing is a method for changing ground characteristics by combining cement slurry with the soil in situ. The aim consists in producing soil/cement mixture elements, panels or columns.

Kelly piles

With Kelly piles, soil excavation is processed using a drilling tool (short auger, drill bucket...) mounted at the tip of a telescopic bar. Concrete mix is poured through a tremie pipe lowered into the casing to the final depth reached, the extraction of the casing pipe will be done afterwards.

Soil analysis

Before constructing any civil engineering structure and foundations, a survey of the soil's physical and geological properties must be carried out. This is the purpose of geotechnics which, through various in situ or laboratory processes, are used to examine soil mechanics.

An extensive range

The range of Jean Lutz SA instrumentation meets all the measurement, recording and automation needs of Deep Foundations.

Many solutions are possible for each of the processes.

All the devices have been specifically designed to withstand the particularly difficult conditions encountered on construction sites.
